This work rests on the moment when two beings meet in unguarded wonder. A young woman, turning toward a lion cub, shares her gaze not with each other alone but with the three hummingbirds before them—small, bright messengers suspended between stillness and motion. In their shimmering presence, I saw a bridge: between innocence and strength, between the instinct to protect and the instinct to explore.
